THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'VE GOT
reaches #23 on the European Country HotDisc
Chart! The song (Track #3 on the Crossroads
Grocery album), is a duet with Shana
Morrison (daughter of Van) about working
through the hard times in a relationship,
and grass on the other side perhaps not
being as green as it seems. I guess it's
like accents and foreigners. For some reason
our music just seems...I don't know...more
unique over there. It's an obscure chart
but none-the-less, its honest and makes
this the 3rd cut from Crossroads Grocery
to crack their top 25 (this marks the tune's
6th week on the chart - in good company
with Wynona, Tim McGraw, Gretchen Peters
and Collin Raye).

USTACOULD climbs to #13
on the European Country HotDisc Chart!...
DJ's and media types all across Europe voted
Ustacould (Track #10 on the Crossroads
Grocery record) into the 13th postion
in their Top 40!
This
chart is put out by 2003 CMA International
DJ of the Year, Stuart Cameron, who also
hosts the hit weekly European radio show,
"Radio Caroline." Stuart has assembled
a substantial network of European radio
and film professionals who independently
vote to determine these results. Kinda cool
seeing our name listed alongside artists
like Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakum
& Gretchen Wilson.

Dyer receives Recognition With 4 Songs In
Billboard International Song Competition
Crooked Smile Band singer-songwriter-guitarist
David Dyer recently received International
recognition with four songs that placed
in the top 2% overall in three different
categories in the prestigious 2004 Billboard
International Song Contest. The spoils of
victory? ...four certificates, four sets
of guitar strings, and one pair of vintage
Elvis blue blocker sunglasses... go figure).

New Record Getting International Exposure!
Crossroads
Grocery is building momentum and getting
airtime on radio stations across Europe,
Canada and the U.S. of A. The album was
independently released in January and continues
to receive rave reviews.
Grammy
and Oscar nominated producer and multi-instrumentalist
Scott Matthews produced the album and does
an outstanding job blending elements of
Alt. Country, Pop and Americana into a thought-provoking
yet still rockin' record true to our Southern
roots. Scott is known for his work with
the likes of Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Elvis
Costello, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison and
the Beach Boys to name a few! Shana Morrison
(Van's daughter who has deservedly made
her own name out in the Bay area) lends
her considerable vocal talents on three
tracks.
Thanks
to our friends @ WUNC 91.5 (Backporch Music),
WNCW 88.7, and WRAL Mix 101.5 who have been
playing cuts from Crossroads
Grocery. We appreciate their support
and hope you will all continue to support
them in their efforts to help local artists
get heard!
